Imphal, August 27 2025: Kurash Association of Manipur has announced the players selected for participation in the SubJunior National Kurash Championship slated to be held from September 10 to 13 at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The players who were announced for the championships include Chongtham Athoibi for the -28 kg competition for girls born between 1/1/2016 - 31/12/2017; Hemba (-30 kg), Laiphrakpam Johnsana (-35 kg) .

Chumthanganba Thoudam (-45 kg) and Okram Lanchenbi (+44 kg) for athletes bom between 1/1/2014-31/12/2015; Taorem Abu (-45 kg), Huidrom Manitomba (-45 kg), Huidrom Rakesh (-50 kg), Thoudam Mangai (-55 kg), Ngangom Chingkheinganba (-60 kg), Ngangom Tomthinganba (+60 kg), Huidrom Keshita (-32 kg), Yumnam Yaisana (-44 kg) and Moirangthem Rency (+52 kg) for athletes bom between 1/1/ 2011 - 31/12/2013 .

Thoudam Rajen was meanwhile named as the team manager alongside Soibam Leishemba and Thiyam Bandana as coaches for boys and girls.

The State team will leave Imphal on September 9 by air and return on September 13 .

The players and officials should bear the journey expenses by themselves, said Kurash Association of Manipur in a statement issued to this effect.

The association also asked all the concerned to confirm their participation.
