Dr Radhakrishnan Foundation trounce Cornerstone Academy 9-0 to seal U-17 girls' semi-final berth

Imphal, August 26 2018: Dr Radhakrishnan Foundation, Churachandpur cruised into the semi-final of the U-17 girls competition of the ongoing State Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium today with an emphatic 9-0 victory against Cornerstone Academy, Tengnoupal.

Hoi Nei Hat's scored 5 goals (9', 22', 24', 30', 39') in this one sided match to hand Dr Radhakrishnan Foundation, Churachandpur a huge 9-0 win and helped cruised into the semi-final as Group A winners.

Baby Lalchhandami (17'), Niangthian Kim (20', 35') and H Anjali (40') were the other scorers for the Churachandpur side in this match.

They will face Group C winners Madhumati High School, Bishnupur which beat Khangabok High School, Thoubal 5-0 in another league match, tomorrow at 7 am.

L Shelia (6'), Th Shajita (12', 37'), O Babita (13')and L Bijaya (21') scored for Madhumati High School against the Thoubal side today.

Poiroukhongjin High School, Imphal East emerged group B winners beating Iramdam Maheikol School, Kakching 3-0 through goals slotted by Ph Nirmala (32'), M Roshibina (44') and Ch Sajina (50') and will be meeting Nilmani English School, Imphal West in the semi-final at 8.30 am tomorrow.

Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Ukhrul beat Molkon High School, Kangpokpi 1-0 in a Group D dead rubber match today.

The solitary goal of the Ukhrul side was scored by Wungnaochon Lulthui in the 29th minute.

U-14 Boys Competition
CT Higher Secondary School, Imphal West which beat Shotobekra High School, Jiribam by 3-1 margin yesterday thumped Pinjabati High School, Bishnupur by 2-0 goals today thanks to second half goals from N Nganthoi (45') and Sangayao Rousan (48').CT Higher Secondary School were held to a goalless draw in another Group A league match against, Kakching Wairi High School, Kakching.

Babtist English High School, Kangpokpi beat Gandhi Memorial Government High School, Churachandpur 1-0 in a Group C league match while Seikhor Christian High School, Ukhrul played out a 1-1 draw with Cornerstone Academy, Tengnoupal in another Group C fixture.

A Group D league match of the competition saw Unique Model Academy, Imphal East thrash Don Bosco High School, Tamenglong by 7-0 margin through goals scored by Kh Sanamacha (4', 43'), T Pasken (6'), H Kiran (11'), S Toper (13', 36) and Y Indranath (46') .

U-17 Boys Competition
Anallon Christian Institute Hr Sec School, Chandel took off the Group A campaign of the U-17 Boys competition with a demolishing 8-0 win over Trinity Public School, Tamenglong today.

Dbroberth shone in this match scoring four goals alone (21', 36', 44', 47') while BS Ningson (32', 43') and Khumseng (50', 56') scored braces to help complete the 8-0 demolition of the Tamenglong side.

In the first Group B league match staged today, Seikor Christian High School, Ukhrul rode on Nungonba Meitei's 5 goal (10', 22', 31', 34', 38') and Thothagayung's brace (5', 28') to drub MG Evergreen Higher Secondary School, Tengnoupal 7-0.The other Group B league match saw Parbung Higher Secondary School edge past MG Evergreen Higher Secondary by 5-3 goals.

Bright Career Academy, Imphal East beat Springfield School Wangjing by 3-1 goals in a Group C league match while the Group D league match scheduled between Baptist English High School, Kangokpi and Paomata Govt High School, Senapati was deferred as 3 out of 9 eligible players of the latter team were in no condition to field today due to injuries.

The organising committee of the tournament is likely to scratch Paomata Govt High School, Senapati from the competition.
