4th MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy : YWC hand YPHUC 113-run defeat, ESU post 21 run victory over SHADOW

Imphal, May 26 2026: YWC, Langthabal defeated YPHUC, Lalambung Makhong by 113 runs for the first Group C win in the 4th MNCA Men ' s U-19 One Day Trophy today at Khudeiband Lampak, Taothong.

Asked to bat first, YWC rode on leading knocks from Daneil Seram (48 off 38 balls), Yumnam Suhil (33 not out off 35 balls), Yumnam Kumar (24 off 41 balls) to pile up 184/7 in the allotted 30 overs.

Yumnam Athouba then ran riot across the YPHUC batting line up to dismiss them for 71 runs and return with the best bowling figures of 6/11 in 5.1 overs.

Pukhrambam Roshan 18, Yumnam Athouba 16, S Thoungamba 14 and Y Achouba 11 also made double digit scores to steer YWC to 184 in the first innings that saw K Mangal (2/37) and Birbal Irom (2/26) sharing four wickets for YPHUC.

In reply, Birbal added the highest 24 off 44 balls as the rest either departed on ducks or with paltry singles digit scores.

L Chingthang (2/13), S Tondonsana (1/6) and P Roshan (1/11) were also among the wickets for YWC in this innings.

Yumnam Athouba who produced an impeccable bowling performance was adjudged player of the match.

Elsewhere at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground, ESU, Palace Compound beat SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 21 runs.

Put in to bat first, Yendrembam Bharatngamba made 46 runs off 62 balls and Soibam Sayonba added 40 runs off 31 balls to steer ESU to 156/7 in 25 overs before they dismissed SHADOW for 135 runs in 24.3 overs with S Venus (2/23), Kh Bishomcha (2/29), and Y Bharatngamba (2/12) sharing 6 crucial wickets.

For SHADOW, Aribam Ganaraj (2/14) and Laishram Bidyasagar (2/33) led the bowling attack before their chase succumbed at 135 despite K Yohenba scoring a 57-ball 54 and Sagatpam Telheiba adding 34 off 48 balls.

Bharatngamba was deservedly declared man of the match for his all round feat.
