Imphal, August 25 2025: The U-19 mixed pair of Ngangom Rishav and Konsam Gunjan finished third at the Kotak India International Series held from August 19 to 24 in Hyderabad following a semi-final defeat.

The Manipur State Badminton Association (MSBA) extended greetings to the youth shuttlers on making third place finish in a BWF sanctioned event.

Their impressive performance in an international competition highlights the growing talent pool of badminton players in the State, said MSBA in a press statement.

Notably, Ngangom Rishav and Konsam Gunjan ended their journey in the mixed doubles competition with a 15-21, 12-21 loss to the pair of Vansh Dev and Shravani Walekar.

Earlier in the round of 32, Rishav and Gunjan sealed a 13-21, 21-15, 21-13 comeback win against Aman Aneesh and Riya Sushil before defeating Aksh Singh and Sphoorthy Ramagouni 23-21, 20-22, 21-19 in a keenly contested prequarterfinal clash to advance into the quarters.

In the quarterfinals, the State duo got the better of Yogansh Singh and Shambhavi Rauthan 23-21, 21-13 to book their semi-final slot.
