Imphal, July 24 2025: FC Raengdai swept aside SSU 3-0 in Thursday's action of the 2nd Premier League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

The match got off to an electrifying start as Kamei Langanglung Kabui broke the deadlock within just five minutes, sending the Raengdai squad into early celebrations with a well-taken strike.

The early goal set the tone for the home side, who dominated possession and pressed high throughout the first half.

SSU struggled to find their rhythm, and their defensive frailties were further exposed just before halftime when Laishram Bikramjit Singh doubled Raengdai's advantage in the 44th minute.

The midfielder's composed finish left SSU with a mountain to climb in the second half.

Despite a few half-chances, SSU's attack lacked sharpness, failing to trouble Raengdai's backline.

FC Raengdai, meanwhile, remained relentless, and their persistence paid off once more in the 72nd minute when Sho-raisham Sagar Singh put the result beyond doubt with a clinical third goal.

The comprehensive win sees FC Raengdai continue their strong form in the league, while SSU will need to regroup quickly after a disappointing display.
