69th NSG U-19 Girls Football C'ship 2025-26 : Chandigarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh squeeze into pre-quarterfinals

The second day of the 69th National School Games U-19 Girls Football Championship 2025-26 being hosted by Manipur saw Chandigarh, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh register final game victories to squeeze into the pre-quarterfinals as Pool runners up teams.
Chandigarh defeated IPSC by 3-1 goals in the final Pool B match at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium to finish Pool runners up and joined Pool winners Manipur in the pre-quarterfmals.
Sanjana (2'), Ridhneet (33'), and Sushila (38') were on target in Chandigarh's victory as Subchcha (26') scored the consolation goal for IPSC.
Elsewhere at Practice Ground-I, Gujarat, who lost 0-2 to Tamil Nadu in the Pool opener, edged out Delhi 2-1 to finish Pool C runners up.
Trisha (5') and Raksha (35+1') found the target in Gujarat's crucial win as Nibha scored one for Delhi in the 11th minute.
In the final Pool D match staged this morning at Langjing Turf, Divya Thakur (21') and Aarti (30') scored to earn Himachal Pradesh a 2-0 win over Jammu and Kashmir.
With the win, Himachal Pradesh joined Pool winners Kerala in the pre-quarterfinals.
In the final Pool E match staged later in the evening at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium, Chhattisgarh thrashed Bihar by 5-1 goals to finish Pool E winners.
In the match that decided the table toppers, Sandhya Thakur (17'), Muskan Salam (32'), Bhumika Dewangan (37'), Rinki Poyam (43'), and Aastha (61') were on the target for Chhattisgarh as Nayra (53') netted the lone goal for Bihar.
Despite the loss, Bihar finished Pool runners up and eventually both the sides reached the pre-quarterfinals.
Tripura dazzle with two of two Pool F wins, assure of a last-16 round berth
The day also saw Tripura scored two back to back Pool F wins to assure themselves a place in the pre-quarterfinals.
In the first match, Shriya Deb (3', 33', 42', 66') and Sonia Sinha (37', 55') shared 6 goals to guide Tripura 6-1 past Madhya Pradesh at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
The lone goal for Madhya Pradesh was scored by Antim (64') .
Later in the day, Keya (12', 49', 54', 56') scored four goals alone while Binata (14', 70'), Shriya (26', 69'), Sonia (38', 46'), and Sarmila (50', 55') pumped in 8 goals to set up a 12-0 win for Tripura against Karnataka at Practice Ground-1 .
In another match, CISCE rode on a treble from Dinisha Devanand (5', 9', 48') and Ria Sujit (56') to outlast Madhya Pradesh 4-1 .
Antim (37') scored the solitary goal for Madhya Pradesh in this match.
Haryana script two back to back wins in Pool G league round
Haryana too dominate in both the Pool G league round matches to emerge victorious and confirm their pre-quarterfinal ticket.
In their league round opener staged this morning at Practise Ground-1, Laxmi (14', 25', 30', 67') banged home 5 goals and Tamanna (21', 54', 62', 68) struck four goals to fashion Haryana a 13-0 win over Uttarakhand.
Bharti (20'), Khushi (24'), and Ritika (57') also chipped in a goal apiece for Haryana in this match as Vasnavi of Uttarakhand conceded an own goal in the 26th minute.
Later in the day, Ritika (31') scored to seal a 1-0 win for Haryana against CBSE at Practice Ground-2 .
In another Pool G match staged earlier in the day, CBSE played out a goalless draw with Maharashtra.
Rajasthan, West Bengal notch up landslide Pool H wins
The day also witnessed Rajasthan and West Bengal securing emphatic wins against their rivals in the Pool H league round competition.
West Bengal rode on Sarjida Khatun (2', 9', 23', 33', 35+2') to post an 8-0 win over Uttar Pradesh this afternoon at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
Bristi Santra (37', 55') also added twice for the winners in the match as Koyel Halder (53') netted one.
Meanwhile, Simran (24', 26'42', 44', 46', 48', 54', 68') was unstoppable today as she scored 8 goals alone to steer Rajasthan 18-0 past Telangana at Practice Ground-1.Moni (4', 59', 62') and Sanju (8', 49', 52') also completed trebles in this match as Ritiksha (28), Lichma (29', 67'), and Annu (32') shared another four goals between them and set up the big win.
Earlier in the day, Uttar Pradesh beat Rajasthan 1-0 courtesy of Saniya's 64th minute winner to extend their winning run to two games and boost their pre-quarterfinal hopes.
