Senapati, September 22 2025: The 1st Division District Football League concluded on Monday with a dramatic final day of matches, as KMZNN FC secured the top spot and the championship title.

The victory ensured their promotion to the prestigious Super Division League next season, alongside runners-up Katumlung FC.

It may be noted that KMZNN FC bagged the champion title too during the second division league in the previous season.

KMZNN sealed their place at the top of the table with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Athletico De Karong FC in the first match of the day.

In another thrilling encounter, Katumlung FC, despite playing with 10 men, earned a crucial 2-1 victory over Khongdei Circle FC .

The win cemented their second-place finish and a ticket to the top flight for the next season.

While the top two celebrated, other teams battled to avoid relegation.

Willong Circle FC delivered a stunning performance, thrashing Purul FC by 6-0 goals in the last match.

The decisive victory saved them from relegation.

As a result of the day's outcomes, Athletico De Karong FC and Purul FC have been relegated to the 2nd Division, setting the stage for a new set of challenges for all teams in the upcoming season.

At the end of the league, Golden Ball was awarded to Bungobi Singh of KMZNN FC, Golden Boot to Khoziio Pfotte of Willong Circle FC and Golden Glove to Chwansa Balang of KMZNN FC.

The District Sports Association (DSA), Senapati, extended its congratulations to the winners and all participating clubs.

The DSA commended every team for displaying "their true spirit of sportsmanship" throughout the tournament, which contributed to the successful completion of the 1st Division District Football League 2025-26.The association thanked all players, coaches, and fans for their participation and support in making the season a success.
