E Bhumika shoots Indian Round gold as State Archery Championships get underway

Imphal, June 21 2024:
Elangbam Bhumika of KMAC sealed the U-10 girls' 15 m Indian Round gold medal as the 1st U-10, U-13, U-15 State Archery Championships kicked off today at SAI Archery Ground, Takyel.
As many as 149 archers are taking part in these championships being organised by the Manipur Archery Association.
E Bhumika shot 343 points to win the gold medal in the U-10 girls' 15 m Indian Round event as Laiphrakpam Henthoibi of YAC picked the silver medal with 311 points and Aarna Shukla of AAA finished third with 251 points.

Meanwhile in the U-10 boys' 15 m Indian Round event, Tonjam Dhananjay of FAC won the gold with the highest score of 239 points as Huidrom Adison of KMAC (315) and Moirangthem Dylan of AAA (307) finished second and third.
In the U-10 boys' recurve event, P Johnson of PC (295 pts) and Waikhom Genius of ESU (257 pts) earn the top honours as L Laxmi of BAA won the U-10 girls 20 m compound gold by amassing 316 points.
Polem Aadyajit of AAA (328 pts) and T Alfret of BAA (321) in the meantime finished first and second in the 20 m compound competition for U-10 boys.
Rupachandra wins 20 m Indian Round gold
Huidrom Rupachandra of UYSF clinched the 20 m Indian Round gold medal for U-13 boys as he shot 356 points to finish on top of second placed N Malemnganba of CWF (346 pts) and third placed Y Bimoljit of KMAC (343 pts) .
In the U-13 girls' 30 m Recurve competition, Phuritshabam Jelly of CWF won the gold scoring 321 points as Akhom Lecika of AAA (310 pts) and W Malasana Chanu of ESU (275 pts) settled for the silver and bronze medals.
Meanwhile, Soibam Lamyanba of AAA bagged the 30 m Recurve gold medal for U-13 boys scoring highest 338 as his compatriot P Jactor secured 333 points to bag a silver medal.
Yumnam Ajay of SAIRC shot 313 points to finish third in this event.
The day also saw S Stelina of BAA win the U-13 girls' 30 m Compound competition gold medal by shooting 330 points.
Mutum Lanngamba of AAFC in the meantime clinched the boys' 30 m compound event gold by collecting 350 points.
Sh Manithoiba of CWF (343 pts) and Hajarimayum Chitresh of AAA (308 pts) finished second and third in the same event.
