3rd Premier League : YPHU post first win, ASUFII FA extend unbeaten run to four games

Imphal, October 20 2025: YPHU, Lalambung Makhong beat Sang-gai Heroes (SGH) 1-0 to end their three game winless run in the ongoing 3rd Premier League as ASUFII FA, Mao extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 1 -1 draw with IYFC today at SSC ground, Sekta.

In the 22nd match of the 15-team top flight tournament, ASUFII FA who beat RAU 2-1 for the second win in the previous match following their first match draw, salvaged a stoppage time draw courtesy of Wangkheirakpam John.

IYFC, who drew in the first match before going down 0-2 to RAU in their second match, and ASUFII FA were neck and neck early on and entered the break goalless.

After the restart, Anjim Ali who subbed in for Khomdram Bidyasagar after the break, broke the deadlock in the 67th minute to put IYFC ahead.

IYFC almost looked to seal their first win as the game wore on but Wangkheirakpam John scored two minutes into the stoppage time to shatter IYFC hopes of securing all three points.

Later in the day, YPHl) who faltered in the previous match with a 0-1 loss to SSU following draws in the first two matches, however ended their wait for a win as they beat SGH 1-0.The lone goal that sealed the deal for YPHU was scored by Laishram Suraj in the 20th minute.

On October 17, ASUFII FA beat RAU 2-1 as SSU beat RAU 1-0 .

On October 18, ABA notched up a 3-0 win against AFC as SU beat SSC 2-0 .

Yesterday, AMOFA beat KIYC 1-0 as UCFC beat MIUFC 2-1 for the third straight victory.
