AMSTA greets Indian Sepaktakraw team on historic WC silver medal win

Imphal, May 20 2026: The All Manipur Sepaktakraw Association (AMSTA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the Indian Sepaktakraw team for winning the silver medal in the Quadrant Event of the TM ISTAF Sepaktakraw World Cup 2026 held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

AMSTA, in a statement, termed the achievement a historic milestone as India entered the final of the World Cup competition for the first time.

The association applauded the dedication, teamwork, and fighting spirit displayed by the players and the Sepaktakraw Federation of India throughout the tournament in Kuala Lumpur.

AMSTA also conveyed special congratulations to Manipuri players Sorokhaibam Malemnganba Singh, captain of the Indian team, along with Yumnam Akash and Wahengbam Henary Singh for their remarkable contribution to the team's success.

The association also congratulated teammates Ram Kumar Sharma, Ashish, and Bobby Kumar.
