5th Luwangpokpa Trophy: CDCC thrash IBS A by 8 wickets for second Group B win

Imphal, June 19 2025: CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai earned their second win in four Group B games by thrashing IBSA, Yumnam Leikai by 8 wickets in the 5th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy 2024-25 today at Khudeiband Lampak.

Mutum Jodiba starred with both the bat and ball to seal the comfortable win for CDCC and eventually walked away with the man of the match accolade.

Chasing 81 for the win, Jodiba knocked an unbeaten 35-ball 54 including 4 fours and 3 sixes, to take CDCC to winning 82 in 10.1 overs.

Earlier in the first innings, IBSA were restricted to 80/9 as Fm Sharif 3/11, Mutum Jodiba 2/14 and Thoudam Monet 2/19 shared crucial 7 wickets to apply pressure on the IBSA batter.

It was a horrible start for IBSA after opting to bat first as top order batters falter and the team slumped to 29/6 in 11 overs before Yengkhom Bhomendro 13 off 19 balls, Samir Maibam 13 off 15 balls and Azmad 19 off 15 balls managed double digit scores.

For IBSA, only Nelson Keithellakpam registered a wicket for 33 runs by trapping Kongjengbam Monish lbw on 8 before Priyojit Narengbam of CDCC got run out for the second wicket.
