Anjubala steers IMC to 21-13 win against YLK in 47th Senior Women's Handball Tournament

Anjubala scored 9 goals alone to earn IMC, Thoubal a 21-13 win against YLK in a Group B match of the 47th State Level Senior Women's Handball Tournament being hosted by KKLYDO at its Kongpal Kongkham Leikai ground.
It was the second win for IMC having beaten hosts KKLYDO 21-12 in their opening match.
I Ronibala (6) and Th Jenila (3) also contributed 9 goals to IMC's tally as I Sonia, Th Roshibala and Th Ranjita added a goal each.
For YLK, Chingarel Tejpur, L Nomika added highest 8 goals for the team as N Selina and N Aliya added two goals apiece and N Pitalika added one.
In another Group B match staged later in the day, ESU overcome KKLYDO by 27-22 goals courtesy of O Anjali's 16 goals and contributions from T Ranju (5), B Sunitibala (5), B Sunitibala (4) and Kh Sujata (2).W Kajal (7), RK Nilamjayshree (5) and Th Christina (4) led the scoring for the hosts as Kh Geetasana (3), N Dolly (2) and S Kamala (1) shared 6 goals.
In a Group A match staged earlier, KVWA, Mayang Imphal won 11-5 against SSC, Khurai courtesy of goals from Kh Henthoi (5), Th Debarani (3), Ng Jonibala (1), Th Mathoi (1) and L Bidyaluxmi (1).N Rebia (2), M Velentina (1), H Pinky (1) and N Taibangsatpi (1) meanwhile added 5 goals for the losing team.
SSC edge NSU 18-17 for second win in men's tournament
The day also saw SSC beat NSU, Khuman Lampak by 18-17 goals in a keenly contested match for the second win in three Group B matches.
N Zidane topscored for SSC with 8 goals to his name as W Chingkhei and N Bhaskar added 4 goals apiece and N Robinson and Kh Kapil scored one goal apiece.
Meanwhile, Sandip Dutta (7) and H Richard (4) led the scoring for NSU as Ajay Kaushik, L Bhisma and O Bhagat shared 2 wickets apiece.
In another Group B match, MPSC overcame YWO, Singjamei with 24-19 margin as Th Robi (7), Th Hemanta (4), N Gobin (4), Y Becker Roy (3) and Y Sushil (2) led the scoring while four other scored a goal apiece.
Meanwhile Kh Sharukhan (5) and E Priyo (4) shared 9 goals for YWO as E Priyo and Umakanta added 3 goals apiece, Tiken added twice and two others scored one goal each.
KVWA meanwhile extended their winning run to three games as they edged ESU by 17-14 goals thanks to major contributions from Kh Ratan (5), A Tondonba (4), N Shitaljit (4) and Ksh Dayananda (2) .
L Henery (6) and Sh Abocha (3) meanwhile led the scoring for ESU.
Later in the day, NSU ended their losing run by edging past OYO 14-13 before YWO defeated SSC by 21-20 goals.
ESU also defeated KKLYDO by 23-15 goals in a Group A match staged later in the day.
