Senior Tennis Tournament: Suraj vs Premjit in 35+ singles final

Imphal, December 14 2024: Suraj will play Premjit in the title clash of the 35+ singles competition in the 6th Manipur Senior Tennis Tournament as Jayenta set up 45+ singles final date with Tuleshwor at IDTA Tennis Complex, Lamphel.

Premjit reached the 35+ singles final with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Bona as Suraj outlasted Th Shantikumar 6-1, 6-1 in the other semi-final clash.

Jayenta meanwhile defeated Ibohal 6+1, 6-4 to set up the 45+ singles final date with Tuleshwor who defeated Pritam 6-4, 6-2 in the first semi-final match.

The day also saw Tuleshwor reach 55+ singles final with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Sashanka.

The final line up of the 45+ doubles and 55+ doubles competitions were also completed today.

In the 45+doubles competition semi-final matches, Manikanta and Ibohal eased past Jayenta and Dilip 6-1,6-1 before the pair of Kangjamba and Prakash defeated Remen and Kene 6+1, 6-4 .

Kangjamba and Prakash also reached 55+ singles final with an easy 6-0, 6-0 win over Bobby and Khogen.

They will play N Ranjit and Leishamsana, who got the better of Bhumeshwor and Indra 6-1, 6-2 in the second semi-final match.
