State veteran shuttlers bag 4 medals at NE C'ship

Imphal, May 13 2025: Manipur won four medals, including two gold, at the 9th North-East Veteran Badminton Championship, held from May 10 to 12, 2025 at DTRP Indoor Stadium, Nehru Stadium, Guwahati.

The duo of W Amusana Meitei and Shambhu-lal Pradhan dominated the men's doubles +55 category, clinching the gold medal after a series of commanding performances.

Adding to the golden haul, Ksh Devajit Singh and L Krishnakumar Singh triumphed in the men's doubles +40 category, showcasing exceptional teamwork and precision to secure another top podium finish for Manipur.

Manipur's medal tally was further bolstered by two bronze medals.

Veteran shuttlers N Biren Singh and Y Samarendra Singh fought valiantly to secure a podium finish in the men's doubles +60 category.

Meanwhile, in the men's doubles +35 category, the pair of K Thomas Singh and Ningthoujao Singh displayed grit and skill to claim the bronze, rounding off a successful campaign for the state.
