Huidrom Bhumeshwori wins silver at World Athletics Continental Tour

Imphal, August 11 2025: Huidrom Bhumeshwori has won a silver medal at the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze 2025 being underway in Odisha.

Bhumeshwori ran 2:06.96 (two minutes; 6.96 seconds) to finish second and claim the silver medal for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd in the 800 m run today as Punjab's Amandeep Kaur bagged the gold medal taking 2:04.31 .

Thota Sankeertana of Chhattisgarh clinched the bronze medal with a time of 2:07.17 .

After having shone in Inter University and National athletics championships, Bhumeshwori had won a gold medal at the Indian Grand Prix-1 in March this year.
