Imphal, May 11 2026: MPA, Thounaojam beat SU, Sagolband by 30 runs via VJD method for the third win in a rain hit Group A match of the ongoing 3rd MNCA U15 Girls One Day Trophy 2025-26 today at Kongba Dhobi Lampak.

MPA, who had posted two wins after faltering in the opening game, raised 116 runs for 7 wickets in 25 overs before rain interrupted the innings.

The target was revised to 124 in 25 overs via VJD/other method.

Chasing 125 for the win, SU ended up gathering 93 runs for 9 wickets to go down for the fourth time in the 11 team tournament being organised by the Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA).

Laishram Bandana led the scoring for MPA today adding 27 runs to the tally off 34 balls while Salaingambi Thokchom was unbeaten on 17 off 15.Heigrujam Mangalleibi of SU picked two wickets (2/20) in this innings as Ayekpam Bhumika (1/17) and Lairenjam Nungshitombi (1/18) picked a wicket apiece.

In reply, Ngashepam Sweety 24 off 42 balls and Lairenjam Nungshithombi 15 off 47 balls led the batting charge for SU.

Yumnam Echapamu shone with the ball for MPA as she enjoyed a fifer (5/4 in 5 overs) to disrupt the SU innings while teammates Salaigambi Thokchom (1/14) and Shintha (1/31) claimed a wicket apiece.

Echapamu was eventually adjudged player of the match.

With the win, MPA joined the race for semi-final alongside AKSDO and PTRC.

Elsewhere at THAU ground, YPHUC thumped FORCE, Kshetrigao by 51 runs for the second win in three matches.

Suchitra Devi Waikhom produced a blistering knock of 87 runs off 85 balls laden with 12 fours to guide YPHUC to 146/4 in 30 overs before Ningthoujam Linthoinganbi (3/25 in 3.2 overs), Eriklembi Soubam (2/ 20 in 6 overs) and Suchitra Devi Waikhom (2/8 in 5 overs) dismantled FORCE for 95 runs.

For FORCE, Ef Nazniha claimed two wickets (2/32 in 6 overs) before Raaida Rani 19 off 72 balls emerged top run getter in the dismal chase. Suchitra was declared man of the match.
