MU Inter College Judo Tournament : Pravabati College seal overall title

Imphal, October 09 2025: Pravabati College men and women's teams emerged overall champi-ons in the Naorem Rajendra Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Judo (M) Tournament, 2025-26 and the Naorem Ongbi Tampakleima Devi Memorial Manipur University Inter College Judo (W) Tournament, 2025-26 .

Pravabati College won 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal to claim the men's title of the tournament hosted by Kamakhya Pemton College, Hiyangthang under the aegis of Manipur University Sports Committee.

As many as 26 athletes representing 11 colleges/institutes participated in the competition.

Pravabati College also claimed the women's title by securing 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.

11 athletes representing 6 colleges/institutes participated for women's top honours.

In the men's competition, Pravabati College's Yumnam Yohenba bagged the -60 kg category gold by beating Thokchom Suraj of Pole Star College in the final as compatriot Abdul Hakim beat Mayanglambam Gurujoy of Kha Manipur College to seal the -66 kg category title.

Ningthoujam John of JCRE Global College in the meantime sealed the -73 kg category gold by defeating Oinam Rishikanta of Pravabati College as Pravabati College's Huidrom Brainy won the -81 kg category gold by beating Abishek Adhikari of Liberal College and Koijam Bishwonath of Manipur College won the -90 kg category gold by beating compatriot Chingakham Irish.

RK Christian of NIELIT and Thoudam Apiro of NG Mani College were adjudged winners of the -100 kg and -60 kg category competitions.

Meanwhile in the women's competition, Pravabati College's Mutum Roshibina beat Mayanglambam Silky of SSGC College for the -48 kg category title as Sukham Beauly of TS Paul Manipur Women's College bagged the -52 kg category title by defeating Salam Kritina of Pravabati College.

Lourembam Chaoba of JCRE Global College in the meantime won the -57 kg category gold medal by defeating Pole Start College's Naorem Melody Chanu in the final.

Pravabati College's Asem Linthoingambi and Mayai Lambi College's Longjam Nokphetka Devi were adjudged -63 kg and -78 kg category toppers respectively.
