Imphal, August 06 2025: Meitei Nongsha Thang-Ta, Heirok will be hosting the 34th State Junior Thang-Ta Championship 2025 at Heirok Part II, Ikop Ningthou Haraobung in Thoubal district from August 28 to 30 .

The championship will be held under the aegis of the Huyel Langion Thang-Ta Association, Manipur will see junior boys and girls compete in two major events - Phunaba and Kanglon Chatpa, said Huyel Langion Thang-Ta Association.

Phunaba comprises two sub-events - Phunaba Ama and Phunaba Anishuba while Kanglon Chatpa consists of three sub-events - Thang-Haiba, Thanglon and Khonglon-Khutlon.

The athletes who make podium finishes in the said championship will also represent Manipur at the 31 st National Junior Thang-Ta Championship due to be held from December 22 to 24 in Guwahati, it said.

Entry form and other details of the championship can be had from the office of the Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association.

Manipur, it said while adding that the last date of form submission is August 14 .
