3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy : FORCE trounce PCC by 10 wickets for third straight victory

FORCE, Kshetrigao thrashed PCC, Mayaikoibi by 10 wickets for the third straight Group A win in the 3rd MNCA U-19 Women's One Day Trophy and boosted their semi-final hopes.
PCC opted to bat first at THAU ground, Thangmeiband after winning the toss but ended up gathering only 136 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 35 overs despite Nongthombam Langlenthoi Chanu's 91-ball 55 .
THAU then rode on an unbeaten half century from Barkatun Khanam (85 off 61 balls) and Mehanaz's unbeaten 30 off 47 balls to cruise to winning 139 within 17.3 overs.
Rahamatun Khanam (2/13), Wakila Shani (2/16) and Farjiya (2/23) shared a bulk of 6 wickets for FORCE today to keep the PCC strike rate in check as Barkatun Khanam picked one.
In reply, Barkatan clobbered 15 fours and 1 six on the way to her unbeaten 85 off 65 balls as Mehanaz played second fiddle with a 47-ball 30 .
Barkatun who shone with both the bat and ball was adjudged player of the match.
PTRC end league campaign with 61-run victory
Elsewhere at SEDOC ground, PTRC sealed a 61-run victory against TCMDC, Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak in their last Group B match.
PTRC amassed 167/9 in 35 overs after opting to bat first courtesy of significant knocks from Laitonjam Pumima 30 off 49 and Konsam Sayatombi 24 off 51 and defended their total by bowling out TCMDC for 106 runs in 29.4 overs as Laitonjam Linthoi (4/11 in 4.4 overs), Laishram Linthoingambi (3/26 in 6 overs) and Laitonjam Tolika (2/16 in 6 overs) were unstoppable with their bowling.
For TCMDC, Thoudam Ningthoisana (2/33), Athokpam Tennish (2/36) and Y ensembam Nikita (2/11) shared 6 wickets before Anoubam Inao 22 off 41 balls, Thoudam Ningthoisana 21 off 29 and Athokpam Tennish 10 off 29 emerged only double digit run scorer for the team in reply.
Laitonjam Linthoi who enjoyed a four wicket haul and led the TCMDC collapse was named player of the match.
