State Open Ranking Table Tennis : S Angkita clinches U-15, U-19 girls' singles titles

Imphal, October 04 2025: S Angkita of Imphal West secured both the U-15 and U-19 girls singles title in the 37th District Inter Club and State Open Ranking Table Tennis Championships 2025 organised by the District Table Tennis Association, Imphal East at the Indoor Hall, DM University Campus.

Angkita sealed the U-19 girls title by defeating compatriot Elangbam Nikita 9-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-9, 11-8 in a keenly contested final clash.

Later in the day, Angkita eased past Thokchom Bincy 11-7, 11-6, 11-4 in another all-Imphal West final clash to earn file U-15 girls singles title.

Bincy Thokchom had earlier claimed the U-13 girls singles title by defeating compatriot Nongmaithem Divyashree 9-11, 13-11, 11-9, 11-8 in the final.

Bincy also claimed the U-11 girls singles title with a hard-fought 7-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-5, 12-10 win over H Malemnganbi of Thoubal this evening.

Thokchom Bristee meanwhile earned the U-9 girls singles title with a 11-6, 11-3, 11-8 victory against Thoubal's S Lalleibi in the final.

The women's doubles title in the meantime went to Ch Narashini of MPSC and L Sumila of AG who defeated S Thajamanbi of Imphal East and Maibam Bindiya of Imphal West 11-9, 11-8, 11-3 today in the final.

Boys

The U-9 boys' singles title in the meantime went to W Ningthem of Imphal East who got the better of Th Thouyangba of Imphal East 11-9, 11-8, 11-8 in the final.

Imphal East's RK Athoiba meanwhile sealed the U-13 Boys' title by defeating Nameirakpam Ambrose of Thoubal 11-8, 11-6, 11-7 in the final.

The U-15 boys singles title on the other hand went to Hemjit Sagolshem of Thoubal who got the better of compatriot Inunganba Akoijam 11-7, 11-2, 16-14 in the final this evening.
