Kakching World War-II Memorial Run : Kh Romajit wins U-45 men's title, Meenarashi claims women's

Kh Romajit of Tangkham won the U-45 years men's title at the World War-II Memorial Run organised by Kakching Runnners today while MK Meenarashi of Yairipok clinched the women's open title.
Ramesh Ram of HQ DGAR and S Bidesini claimed the above 45 years men's and women's title respectively.
The marathon organised to commemorate the sacrifices of valiant soldiers during the World War-II in and around Kakching was graced by Governor Dr Najma Heptulla as chief guest who also gave away prizes to the winners of the marathon.
Kh Romajit of Tangkham finished first in the men's open category with a course time of 1 hour 27 minutes 54 seconds while NP Singh of HQ DGAR clocked 1:30: 25 seconds to claim the second spot before his compatriot Sewisei took 21 more seconds to finish third.
O Santosh of Nambol Oinam sealed the fourth place with a time of 1:33:04 seconds while Francis Eimic of HQ DGAR took 1:33:16 seconds to claim the fifth place.
M Kima (HQ DGAR; 1:33:40); GP Nongrum (HQ DGAR; 1:34:14 seconds); M Samanda Meitei (Samurou; 1:35: 21 seconds); K Bikram (Leimapokpam; 1:35:53 seconds) and S Romesh (Samurou; 1:36:46 seconds) respectively sealed the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th place.
Women's Open
MK Meenarashi of Yairipok finished the course in 1 hour 56 minutes to claim the women's open title while S Premila took 2 hour 9 minutes and 02 seconds to finish second.
Ksh Romita finished third by taking 2:11:01 seconds while N Sunita of Khabam and Ksh Sonam Devi of Kakching took 2:15:54 seconds and 2:17:23 seconds to secure the fourth and the fifth spots.
Henthoibi Seram of Kongba (2:31:27 seconds), Shweta of Chennai (2:52:31 seconds), Haranitha of Chennai (2:55:45 seconds), H Jina of Keirak (2:57:27 seconds) and H Gangarani of Hiyanglam (3:00:31 seconds) claimed the 6th, 7th, 8t, 9th and 10th respectively.
Above 45 years men's
Ramesh Ram of HQ DGAR finished the course in 1 hour 55 minutes and 15 seconds to clinch the above 45 years men's title while Padam Bahadur of 2nd AR finished second with a time of 2 hour 2 minutes and 6 seconds.
Bheigyachandra N of Kakching took 2:06:41 seconds to claim the 3rd place while Nambol's Y Brojen (2:07: 30 seconds) and N Surchandra of Sagolband (2:10: 23 seconds) sealed the 4th and the 5th place.
Md Majimuddin of Kairang (2:16:50), Nayed Subedar Man Singh of 10 Sector AR (2:21:57), N Kumar of Kakchmg (2:25:16), Col Rajesh of Chennai and L Doren of Thanga (2:29:17) secured the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th place respectively.
Above 45 years women's
Above 45 years women's title went to S Bidesini of Khangabok who recorded a time of 2 hour 59 minutes and 40 seconds while L Shovabati (3:2:23 seconds) of Khurai and Akashini of Wangoi (3:20:02 seconds) finished second and third.
Radhika Wakharkar from Hyderabad took 3:20:02 seconds to seal the fourth place and Th Memcha finished fifth with a time of 3:24:08 seconds.
Ksh Gangatombi of Kakching (3:33:47), Manimala Vijaykumar of Chennai (3:37:03), H Thaba of Kakching (3:40:40), S Bijaya of Kakching (3:46:50) and N Santibala of Kakching (4:01:02) finished 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th respectively.
An 8 km run around Kakching Keithel was also organised to spread the awareness and significance of organising the marathon.
