10th Foundation Day observed

Kangpokpi, September 09 2018:
The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Regional Campus Manipur (IGNTU-RCM), Makhan, Kangpokpi District observed its 10th Foundation Day celebration at the Library Hall of the campus today, said a statement of Dr Ng Ngalengnam, Diector (i/c), IGNTU-RCM.
TT Haokip, Chairman, Hill Area Committee, Manipur, attended the celebration as chief guest.
Prof Alok Shrotriya, Director, Academic & Research and Dean of Social Sciences, IGNTU, Amarkantak was the guest of honour and Dr Ng Ngalengnam, Diector (i/c), IGNTU-RCM presided the function.
Special invitees included, Deputy Commissioner of Kangpokpi District, Dr Waikhom Rangitabali Devi, president and executive members of ATSUM, Chief of Makhan village and other dignitaries.
IGNTU, Amarkantak was established by an Act of Indian Parliament in the year 2007 .
IGNTU-RCM was opened during the tenure of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and started functioning on September 9, 2009 in a temporary campus at Tribal Research Institute, Chingmeirong, Imphal.
