2nd Premier League : FC Raengdai thump RAU 3-1 to close campaign unbeaten on top

Imphal, June 29 2025: FC Raengdai, Noney finished runaway Group A leaders unbeaten in the 2nd Premier League as they thumped Rising Athletic Union (RAU), Lairikyengbam Leikai by 3-1 goals this afternoon at Langjing Achouba Turf Ground.

FC Raengdai, who had won 6 matches and drawn once in the last 7 games, led RAU by 2-0 goals in the opening half before posting the 3-1 win.

Laishram Bikramjit opened the scoring for FC Raengdai today after 33 minutes before Shoraisham Sagar doubled the advantage two minutes into the added time of the opening half (45+2') .

Konsam Rohit fired FC Raengdai to a 3-0 advantage with a clinical finish in the 80th minute before RAU scored a consolation goal through Hemam Jagat three minutes into the stoppage time (90+3') .

With the win, FC Raengdai are on top of the Group A table enjoying an unassailable 22 points lead.

Earlier in the day, Athletic Brother's Association (ABA), Kshetrigao beat Imphal Youth Football Club (IYFC) 1-0 to cap their Group A campaign with two wins.

The lone goal that earned ABA all three points was scored by Arif Khan off a penalty in the 50th minute.

Having drawn with RAU, AFC and AMOFA, they collected as many as 9 points.
