Imphal, May 29 2025: Kanglei Yelhou Cheingak and Uchekon Youth Atheltic Club (UYAC) is set to co-host the 1 st State Level Sepak Takraw Social Awareness Trophy from June 4 at the UYAC ground under the aegis of the All Manipur Sepak Takraw Association (AMSTA).

The event will see athletes compete for top honours in four different categories-three for boys (junior, subjunior and mini) and one for girls (sub-junior), said Kanglei Yelhou Cheingak in a press release.

Each category carries a cash prize of Rs 15,000 for the winners and Rs 10,000 for the runners up besides trophies and other prizes for the third place teams.

The sporting event will not only aim to encourage the competitive spirit among the growing athletes but also will be used as a platform to raise awareness among the masses and specially the youth and students on social and moral values, discipline, educational aspects and ill effects of drug abuse, said Kanglei Yelhou Cheingak.

Kanglei Yelhou Cheingak also sought support from all sections of the society to make the event successful and lend a helping hand towards the cause.
