Imphal, October 27 2025: Visitors Manipur slumped to an innings and 288-run defeat to hosts Bihar in a Col CK Nayudu Trophy Plate group match at Moin-ul-Haq Stadium, Patna today.

Bihar declared at 472/2 in 104 overs of the first innings today to take a 370-run lead after Manipur elected to bat first and were bundled out for a meagre first innings total of 102 runs in 40.1 overs yesterday.

Continuing the second day, Manipur were bowled out once again for just 82 runs within 27.4 overs and slumped to their second straight loss in the U23 Multi-Day tournament after going down to Sikkim in the first match.

Kalyan 27, Md Irfan 23 and Sanjit 20 managed double digit scores for Manipur in the first innings that saw Vasudev Prasad enjoying a five wicket haul (5/26 in 11.1 overs) and Badal Kanaujia (2/ 21 in 10 overs) claiming two wickets.

Bihar innings witnessed two centprians- Akash Raj (116) and Prithvi Raj (162 not out), as Aryan Raj (96) and Harshit (50 not out) hit half centuries.

Kangujam Rinku enjoyed a three wicket haul (3/107) for Manipur in this innings.

In the second innings, Md Irfan (29) and Champion (18) were the only double digit run getters as Suraj Kashyap (5/12) and Sumar Kumar (3/16) ran riot to share a bulk of 8 wickets and stem the Manipur rot.

Manipur will play Arunachal Pradesh in the next match at Gokulbhai Somabhai Patel Stadium, Nadiad from November 2 .
