2nd Premier League: Angtha FC bring down Rising Athletic Union

Imphal, June 27 2025: With three goals from Konthoujam Bobosana Singh, Angtha FC (AFC) thrashed Rising Athletic Union (RAU) 6-3 in the 2nd Premier League 2025-26 at Langjing Achouba Turf Ground today.

Angtha FC took RAU by surprise in the opening minute with Konthoujam Premananda Singh scoring the first goal of the match.

Upset with the early setback, RAU looked for chances to find an equalizer but ended up conceding a second goal when Konthoujam Bobosana scored the first of his three goals in the 21st minute.

Trailing by 2 goals, RAU fought back and saw hope in Leishising Tallanao as he scored their first goal in the 51st minute.

The hope, however, came crashing down when Konthoujam Bobosana scored his second goal in the 59th minute and extended the lead over RAU 3-1 .

With great effort, Chanambam Yaikhomba Meitei gave RAU a much needed goal to inspire the team in the 63rd minute.

Even as RAU were struggling to keep up the pace and find scorers, they conceded yet another goal from Julian Keishing (67th minute).

Konthoujam Bobosana destroyed all hopes for the opponents as he scored his third in the 72nd minute and further extended AFC's lead over RAU 6-2.Leishising Tallanao scored his second goal for RAU in the 77th minute, but it proved too late to inspire the team.

In a later match at the same ground, ASUFII FA crushed NISA 4-0.The one-sided match saw Wangkheirakpam John Singh, Khumanthem Arun Singh and Samson scoring goals for ASUFII FA.

Wangkheirakpam John Singh scored his and the match's first goal in the 8th minute, before Khumanthem Arun Singh scoring one for the team in the 75th minute.

Samson scored a goal in the 86th minute.

Wangkheirakpam John Singh scored his second goal in the 90th minute.
