Khangembam Pilot wins bronze at National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship

Imphal, August 22 2025: Khangembam Pilot won Manipur a bronze medal in the 64th National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship being underway in Tamil Nadu at JN Stadium, Chennai.

Pilot won the bronze medal in the men's 20000 m race walk event with a time of 1:30: 39.24 (1 hour, 30 minutes and 39.24 seconds) .

Kerala's George Onto won the gold medal in the event by finishing the course 1:29:35.12 as Mukesh Nitharwal of Rajasthan finished second in 1:30: 35.63 .

Khangembam Pilot wins bronze at National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship

Khangembam Pilot is the son of Kh Kumar and Kh ongbi Dhaneshwari of Khurai Thangjam Leikai.

Notably, Kh Pilot was able to secure fifth place in the same competition in the 3rd Open National U-23 Athletics Championships 2023 held in October 2023 as compatriot Ningthoukhongjam William bagged the silver medal.
