Sagolsem Gelison clinches 3 gold at Finswimming Nationals, to represent India at Finswimming WC Round 4

Imphal, July 22 2024:
Sagolsem Gelison Singh won as many as four medals including 3 gold and 1 silver at the 7th National Finswimming Championship that concluded yesterday in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Gelison, son of Sagolsem Surjit Singh of Soibam Leikai, bagged three gold medals in the senior men's 50m Bi fins, 100m Bi fins and 200m Bi fins events at the championship hosted by USAI Unit Rajasthan Khel Gaon Swimming Pool Udaipur, Rajasthan under the aegis of Underwater Sports Association of India (USAI) from July 19 .

Gelison topped 50m Bi fins event taking 23.44 seconds, 100m Bi fins event taking 53.25 seconds, and 200m Bi fins event taking 2:00.72 (2 minutes 0.72 seconds) respectively.
He grabbed another silver by finishing the 400m Bi fins in 4:44.25 minutes.
With these achievements, Gelison has been selected to represent India in the Finswimming World Cup Round 4 slated to be held in September in Phuket, Thailand.
