33rd All Manipur Shooting Competition : S Chingkheihunba shoots 10 m pistol gold

Imphal, August 20 2025: Sapam Chingkheihunba of Manipur Rifle Association (MRA) shot 359points to seal the 10m pistol gold medal for men in the 33rd All Manipur Shooting Championship being underway at Taothong.

Pangambam Kunjabihari of Imphal East District Rifle Association (IEDRA) was 3 points behind Chingkheihunba to settle for the silver medal as Nongthombam Kirankant of Manipur Police Sports Club shot 355 to finish with the bronze medal.

The junior men's 10 m pistol event gold meanwhile went to Khunjamayum Victor of IEDRA who shot 353 points in the final round as Salam Garlin of National Sports University (NSU) picked the silver medal with 347 points and Rajkumar Jehan bagged the bronze medal with 346 points.

In the sub-youth men's competition, Sapam Henthoiba of the Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre picked the gold medal shooting 344 points as Wangkhem Tomthin Meitei of Thoubal district bagged the silver with 341 points.

Joel Moirangthem of MRA who also shot identical 341 points bagged the bronze medal in the same competition.

Gurumayum Prithiviraj of NSU notched up the youth men's individual 10 m pistol championship gold gathering 358 points as Khunjamayum Victor sealed the silver medal with 353 points and Huidrom Nelson of IEDRA shot 350 points to earn the bronze medal.

Pangambam Kunjabihari of IEDRA meanwhile sealed the Masters Men's 10 m pistol event gold shooting 356 points to finish atop.

Laiphrakpam Rajesh of IWDRA (355 pts) and Ashem Kenedy of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School (345 pts) finished second and third in the same event to bag the silver and the bronze medals.

G Shyamkanhai Sharma of IEDRA on the other hand picked the senior masters 10 m pistol event gold amassing 340 points.

Women's competition

Women's individual 10 m pistol gold medal in the meantime went to Loukrakpam Sylvia of MRA as she amassed 357 points to finish on top while Labuktongbam Minerva of IWDRA (346 pts) and Thounaojam Tamlennganbi of IWDRA (344 pts) settled for the silver and the bronze medals respectively.

Tamlennganbi of Imphal West District Rifle Association (IWDRA) however clinched the gold medal in the junior women's category as Aheibam Purbi Leima of the Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre (341 pts) and Haobijam Yajarani of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School (316 pts) finished settled for the silver and the bronze medals.

In the youth women's individual championship, the Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre's Rajkumari Sweety and Nongmeikapam Aeronika secured the gold and silver medal respectively by shooting 360 and 352 points as Thounaojam Tamlennganbi bagged the bronze medal with 344 points.

Tamlenganbi was also crowned sub-youth women's champion in the 10 m pistol competition as Hawaibam Lanleima of the Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre finished second to earn the silver medal with 319 points and Thiyam Anjel of the Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School settled for the bronze medal with 313 points.
