Imphal, July 20 2025: The 18th Governor's Taekwondo Cup 2025 concluded on Sunday at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, with UTA emerging as the overall champions in commanding fashion.

The four-day event, held from July 17 to 20, witnessed spirited competition among several taekwondo academies across the region.

UTA dominated the medal tally with an impressive haul of 29 gold, 24 silver, and 27 bronze medals, amassing a total of 5362 points to clinch the top position.

Their consistent performance across various age groups and categories underscored their strength and depth in the sport.

On the fourth and final day of the 18th Governor's Taekwondo Cup 2025, UTA added three gold medals to round off their successful campaign in style.

The gold medals came courtesy of Kaira Rajkumari (sub-junior girls U-22kg), Nongleima Rajkumari (sub-junior girls U-18kg), and Yumkham Lancy Devi (sub-junior girls over-47kg) .

The first runner-up position was secured by PTA, who finished with 8 gold, 5 silver, and 17 bronze medals, collecting 1597 points in total.

Meanwhile, TTA Khangabok claimed the second runner-up spot with 7 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals, earning 1310 points.
