Bishnupur 1st Divn League : Phaomei Guankinlung nets thrice to fashion UFC a 7-1 win

Imphal, September 19 2025: Phaomei Guankinlung scored thrice as UFC, Bishnupur overwhelmed BFA, Nachou by 7-1 goals at the 1 st Yumnam Manao Memorial 1st Division League being underway at Bishnupur Mini Stadium.

BFA, who suffered a 1-10 opening game loss, stunned UFC early on when Y Santosh scored in the 3rd minute to put the team ahead.

UFC however responded swiftly and overturned the lead with Phaomei Guankinlung completing his brace in the 34th minute after scoring the equaliser in the 9th minute.

UFC completely took control of the game and added two more goals to their tally with Panmei Donny (36') and Namsinlung Kamei (38') taking their turns in succession.

After leading the first half 4-1, Phaomei Guankinlung led from the front and completed his treble in the 49th minute before Sangthat Rongmei (83') and Sairam Shaimon (86') took deep to contribute a goal apiece and set up the second straight win for the Bishnupur team.

Later in the day, WYC, Yumnam Khunou thumped Ishok FC 2-0 courtesy of goals coming from S Dinesh (4') and L Bigyananda (90+3') .
