State team head to Haryana for 6th Junior National Boxing C'ships

Imphal, June 18 2025: A 25-member State Boxing team left Imphal for Haryana today for the 6th Junior National Boxing Championships 2025 that kicked off today at SAI NBA Rohtak.

The young boxers who will be representing Manipur at the championships are as follows.

Boys: Usham Thouna Luwang of NSA (46 kg), Lairenlakpam Ambedkar of NSA (48 kg), Moibungkhongbam Lanchenba of MKBA (50 kg), Thongram Manithoiba of SRBA (52 kg), Salam Diamond of NSA (54 kg), Karung Albertson Kom of MKBA (57 kg), Khaidem Lanchenba of SAI, STC Imphal (60 kg), Khundom Lanchenba of NSA (63 kg), Samom Punshiba of PKBA (66 kg), Leimapokpam Mahesh of PKBA (70 kg), Sorokhaibam Vikash of SRBA (75 kg) and Yubraj Angom of SAI, STC Utlou (+80 kg).

Girls: Moirangthem Khrismira of MKBA (46 kg), Lamameilu Gangmei of MKBA (48 kg), Heikham Riya of SAI, STC Imphal (50 kg), Maria Pame of NSA (52 kg), Mangte ShumneijangKom of MKBA (54 kg), Longjam Radhamani of SRBA (57 kg), Naorem Artina of SRBA (60 kg), Thoudam Daina of MKBA (63 kg) and Elangbam Panthoi of PKBA (66 kg).

Four officials including Y Priyokumar and Gyanendro Sharma as boys' coaches and L Kishan and L Sunilkumar as girls' coaches are leading the team in the championships that will run till June 25.The team were flagged off by MABA officials who also extended best wishes to the athletes and the officials.
