RCA to lock horns with PCC in 3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy

RCA, Lilong will square off against PCC, Mayaikoibi in the title clash of the 3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy being organised by the Manipur Cricket Association.
RCA entered the final with a 93-run victory against YWC, Langthabal at Lairenjam Public Ground today.
RCA amassed a competitive total of 204 runs for 9 wickets after winning the toss and defended their total by bundling out YWC for 111 runs within 28 overs.
Md Danish Khan (72 off 70; 4 fours and 5 sixes) and Imran Khan (51 off 70 balls; 5 fours) scored half centuries to inspire RCA the modest total after they were reduced to 69/5 in 14 overs as Yumnam Athouba wreaked havoc early on.
Danish and Imran forged 114-runs together off 114 balls for the 6th wicket until Imran got run out on 51.Yumnam Athouba returned with the best bowling figures of 3/17 in his spell of 7 overs that include two maidens as Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba (1/11), Yumnam Achouba (1/57), Sorokhaibam Dailish (1/33) and Seram Robinson (1/46) picked a wicket apiece.
In reply, Sorokhaibam Dailish 35 off 69, Seram Robinson 13, Yumnam Kumar 10 and Seram Tondonsana 10 emerged the only double digit run getters for YWC as they slumped to 111 all out despite 26 extras conceded by RCA bowlers.
Naesh Hussain (2/21 in 7 overs) and Zamir Khan (2/25 in 7 overs) shared four wickets for RCA in this innings as Zuned (1/21) and Farhan Ahmed (1/16) picked a wicket apiece.
Md Danish who starred with the bat was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Secondary School and Oriental College playground, PCC knocked out ESU by 6 wickets to set up the final date with RCA.
ESU opted to bat first but were bundled out for a meagre total of 67 runs in 22 overs as Rojer Laishram (4/8 in 6 overs), Kangujam Boocker (3/14 in 4 overs) and Thokchom Lucky (2/12 in 4 overs) wreaked havoc before PCC cruised to winning 71 for 4 wickets in 15 overs.
ESU had a nightmarish innings Lucky Thokchom and Boocker Kangujam removed the top batters cheaply in quick succession before Rojer Laishram joined the spree to remove Hanjabam Donba on highest 16 and three others to enjoy a four wicket haul and leave ESU tattering at 52/9 in 13.5 overs.
Takhelmayum Vikash then closed out the innings in the final delivery of the 22nd over by bowling out Khundrakpam Bishomcha on a 32-ball 5.Chasing 68 for the win, Ziad Khan 15 oft 27 and Max Wairokpam 34 off gave PCC a major partnership of 46-runs for the second wicket before Mairambam Lucky hit Mairembam Lucky for a four to straight long on to finish off the chase with 6 wickets left in hand.
Hanjabam Naoba finished with best bowling figures of 2/11 for ESU as Hanjabam Donba (1/20) and Soibam Sayonba (1/14) picked a wicket apiece in a lost cause.
