Imphal, January 18 2026: Dayananda Thoudam has emerged the champion of the 2nd DCA Players' Chess Tournament 2026.34 players participated in the tournament, organised by the D Chess Academy (DCA) on January 17 and 18.Lemba Sougaijam secured the 2nd position, followed by Veeral Mongjam in 3rd place.

Punsiba Maisnam secured the 4th position, while Rajasmita Hanjabam claimed the 5th position.

Lorena Nameirakpam ranked 1st in the U-11 girls
Leirikhomba Mangang ranked 1st in the U-9 boys
Rajkumari Sanghamitra Devi ranked 1st in the U-9 girls
Rajkumar Thoiba ranked 1st in the U-7 boys
Lingjelleima Thokchom ranked 1st in the U-7 girls

Aribam Muhindro Shama, president, Manipur Chess Association, Tourabgbam Indrajit Singh, Councillor, Uripok Ward No 6, Lourembam Sandeep Meitei, president, DCA Tournament Committee attended the closing ceremony today.
