NE Rising Cup 2025 for U-15 Girls : Manipur beat Arunachal Pradesh by 4 wickets, finish Group A runners up

Manipur defeated Arunachal Pradesh by 4 wickets to finish Group A runners up in the North East Rising Cup 2025 for U-15 girls, being hosted by Assam Cricket Association and seal a place in the semi-finals.
Opting to bat first at ACA Cricket Academy ground, Fulung, Guwahati, Arunachal Pradesh were dismissed for just 89 runs in 31.4 overs before the State girls cruised to winning 92 in 23 overs with 4 wickets left to spare.
Only Ann 11 off 50 balls and Tarak Yai 17 off 40 balls managed double digit scores for Arunachal Pradesh in their innings as Farjiya picked three wickets (3/12 in 6 overs) to lead the frugal bowling attack followed by Sagatpam Henthoibi (2/12 in 7 overs), Laitonjam Benita (2/ 11 in 4.4 overs) and Farhana (2/13 in 3 overs) .
In reply, Laishram Viviene played a pivotal role for Manipur adding highest 31 off 31 balls including 4 fours and 1 six before Nazmin Khanam 11 off 21 balls and Laishram Bigyapati 2 off 2 balls produced an unbeaten 7 wicket partnership to seal the victory in 23 overs.
With the result, Manipur finished Group A runners up behind hosts Assam who had won all three matches.
Manipur will now play Group B winners in the semifinal match slated for May 19 .
Notably, Tripura, Mizoram, Sikkim and Meghalaya are drawn in Group B and Tripura are leading the table with two of two victories above Mizoram who had won once in two games.
