3rd Imphal West District Boxing Championship 2025 : W Prithibiraj vs Y Lamjingba in U-15 boys 58 kg final

Imphal, May 16 2025: Waikhom Prithibiraj and Yumnam Lamjingba will fight it out for the 58 kg category title for U-15 boys in the 3rd Imphal West District Boxing Championship 2025 that kicked off today at Khuman Lampak Boxing Arena.

The championship is being organised by the Imphal West District Amateur Boxing Association (IWDABA) under the auspices of Manipur Amateur Boxing Association.

Prithibiraj of SRBA-A made it to the final by beating Khamnam Rojesh of IND before Lamjingbam of SRBA-B beat Sapam Mangisana of IND in another semi-final clash.

In the 49 kg category quarterfinal clashes for U-15 boys, Kishan Ningthoujam of STC-Utlou defeated Nahakpam Lamnganba of IND and Gurumayum Newton of PBA outlasted Meikam Wangthoiba of IND.

Gurumayum Jekshon of PBA meanwhile made it to the semi-finals of the U-15 boys' 52 kg category event as Khwairakpam Nelson of NSA beat Thongam Jackson of PBA and Thoudam Nicholas of MKBA beat Laishram Yuhenba of SRBA-B in 55 kg category quarterfinal bouts.

The day also saw Arnold of SRBA-A setting up a final date with Salam Diamond of NSA in the 54 kg category competition for U-17 boys.

Arnold beat Sorokhaibam Lanchenba in a semi-final clash as Diamond outlasted Khongdram Nongsaba of PBA in other semi-final clash.

Khangchrakpam Mangal of SRBA-B also made it to the 57 kg category final for U-17 boys beating Oinam Nganthoiba of IND while Leichombam Lamnganba earned a walkover win against MKBA's Pukhrambam Jackson in a 55 kg semi-final clash for Elite men.
