RCA, Lilong crushed FORCE, Kshetrigao by 106 runs for the third Group B win on the trot in the 5th MNCA Boys U14 One Day Trophy at Moijing Public Ground today.
RCA, who had sealed thumping wins against TRAU and BKCC in the previous matches, rode on half century knocks from Khutheibam Mutahid Akhter (78 off 59 balls; 9 fours and 5 sixes) and Makakmayum Irfan (64 off 33 balls; 12 fours and 1 six) to gather 235/10 in 30 overs and dismissed FORCE for 129 runs in 23 overs to secure their third straight win.
Maraimayum Syed Farish (3/42), Epham Muskur (3/56) and Epham Ayman Khan (2/60) shared 8 wickets for FORCE in the first innings before Md Adeeb Shah's quickfire 79 not out off 52 balls (11 fours and 3 sixes) went abegging.
Farhan Ahmed was the pick of the RCA bowlers as he returned with 5/26 in his spell of 6 overs while Khutheibam Murshid Alam finished with a three wicket haul (3/29).Farhan Ahmed was also named player of the match.
AMCA beat YUCC by 21 runs
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, AMCA beat YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai for the second Group E victory riding on Sahid Khullakpam and Md Raja Khan.
Sahid hit a 66-ball 50 while Sakir Maibam 19 and Md Raja Khan 19 made valuable contributions to help AMCA post 182/10 in 30 overs before Md Raja Khan picked three wickets to set up YUCC collapse at 161 within 25.3 overs.
Rajbir Khumanthem clinched 4 wickets (4/25) for YUCC in the first innings as Shagolshem Sathyaraj (2/19) and Shresth Oinam (2/23) shared another four wickets to bowl out AMCA for 182 runs.
Their batting department however faltered and slumped to 161 all out despite Shreth's 44-ball 39 and Yaikhom Tomba's 36-ball 29 with Md Raja Khan (3/27) and Moijingmayum Firdosh (2/27) leading the AMCA bowling attack.
Raja Khan was eventually declared player of the match.
AKSDO devastate ESU by 216 runs
Meanwhile at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, AKSDO, Khangabok handed ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound a crushing 216-run defeat for the second Group A victory in 3 matches.
Rahbir Thokchom smacked a century (117 runs off 77 balls; 25 fours) while Khundrakpam Boiton struck an unbeaten half century (67 off 40 balls; 13 fours) to steer toss winners AKSDO to 289/3 in 28 overs before Elangbam Malemnganba (3/6 in 2 overs) and Khundrakpam Lanchenba (2/3 in 1.1 overs) led in dismantling 9-man ESU for 73/8 in 15.1 overs.
Ranbir was named player of the match.
