5th MNCA Boys U14 One Day Trophy 2025-26 : TCMDC beat WYC by 62 runs to extend winning run

TCMDC, Thongju Part II Pechu Lampak defeated WYC, Thoubal Wangkhem by 62 runs for the second straight Group C victory in the 5th MNCA Boys U14 One Day Trophy 2025-26 as BKCC and YESSDAN secured their first wins in two matches.
TCMDC opted to bat first here at Khudeiband Lampak after winning the toss and posted a modest total of 169/8 in the allotted 30 overs courtesy of Yumnam Tomthinnganba's 53-ball 73 and 40 extras, and bundled out WYC for 107 runs in 24.4 overs riding on Yumnam Tomthinnganba (3/24 in 5 overs) and Labuktongbam Veeraj Sharma (2/25 in 4 overs) and four others.
Sagolsem Bolyson 22 off 28, Kharibam Yohenba 14 off 37 balls and Alison Thounaojam 10 off 43 balls also made double digit scores for TCMDC in the first innings that saw WYC's Maibam Dhanakuber (2/31), Md Altamash (2/37) and Wangkhem Tomthinganba (2/27) sharing 6 wickets among them.
In reply, Maibam Dhanakuber topscored with 27 off 33 balls for WYC followed by Jivson Laishram 18 off 11 balls and Md Altamash 14 off 13 balls.
Y Tomthinnganba was eventually declared player of the match Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, BKCC hammered CYSA by 9 wickets for their first Group B win in two matches.
Toss winners CYSA were bundled out for 84 runs within 17 overs as Thoudam Lamnganba (4/7 in 6 overs) and Nepoleon Kongkham (3/19 in 4 overs) shone with the ball for BKCC, who eased to the target within 9.5 overs with 9 wickets to spare.
Ningthoujam Kingson 22 and Khundrakpam Sana 15 managed double digit runs in the dismal CYSA innings before Thounaojam Tondonba 37 not out off 37 balls and Kongkham Mathoi 20 not out off 20 balls sealed the victory for BKCC .
Thoudam Lamnganba of BKCC, who led the BKCC bowling attack, was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, YESSDAN, Ningthoujam sealed their first Group D win by handing RULE, Meitram a 51-run defeat.
YESSDAN opted to bat first and raised a lowly total of 136 runs for 9 wickets in 25.4 overs before dismissing RULE for 85 runs in 21.2 overs.
Nongthombam Olex's five wicket haul for RULE went in vain as Maisnam Anderson picked 6 wickets (6/26) alone and Ningthoujam Rajesh chipped in two (2/19) for YESSDAN to decimate RULE for 85 runs.
Maisnam Anderson had earlier added 42 runs off 45 balls for YESSDAN and eventually walked away with the player of the match accolade.
