CRPF organises Cricket Tournament in Bpr, 10 km mini marathon in Kpi

Imphal/Kpi, September 09 2026: A Cricket Tournament organised by 32 BN CRPF kicked off today at HQ/32 Bn CRPF, NHPC ground with the participation of 16 teams from across the district.

The tournament is being organised under Khelo India's SPANDAN initiative and will conclude on September 12.The top three finishers will receive a cash prize of Rs 12,000; Rs 8,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively, said a press release issued by 32 Bn CRPF .

A 10 km mini marathon organised by the 94 Bn CRPF under Khelo India's SPANDAN initiative successfully concluded in Kangpokpi today draw more than 250 runs and enthusiasts.

The race began at Brigadier Thomas Ground and proceeded along NH-2 towards Kalapahar before returning to the flag-off point.

Several prominent personalities of the district participated in the run that saw L Lunmilal Khongsai, Lamkhotinsei Kipgen and Lamginmang Vaiphei emerging top three finishers.

The podium finishers were feted with a cash prize of Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively apart from medals and certificates.

Certificates were also distributed to the top 50 finishers in recognition of their performances.

Dett-30 Bn CRPF, Saheibung also hosted a 10 km run at Sangaithel.

The event saw a healthy participation of 140 runners.

Md Rahish Khan, Lourembam Mishorjit and Abujam Rajesh made the podium finishes in the run and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 10,000; Rs 6,000 and Rs 4,000 respectively apart from medals and certificates.

T-Shirts, medals and certificates were also handed out to all the runners, said a press release issued by the battalion.
