XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tourney : CYCLONE devastate SHADOW by 147 runs, UCC beat KSDO by 17 runs

Imphal, February 06 2026: UCC, Uripok defeated KSDO, Kyamgei by 17 runs as CYCLONE crushed SHADOW by 147 runs in a Thangmeiband derby today in the XIII T-20 Manipur Veteran Cricket Tourney being underway at Langthabal Public Ground.

In the Group C match staged in the afternoon, CYCLONE raised a mammoth total of 192 runs for 8 wickets courtesy of a 57 quickfire off 31 balls from Surjit before Narjit led in dismantling 10-man SHADOW for 45 runs in 18 overs.

Chinglensana 25, Shyamsunder 20, Shashikumar 17 and Arun 17 also made major contributions as CYCLONE won the toss and opted to bat first.

For SHADOW, Bhubonchandra 3/33 and Surjitkumar 3/29 shared 6 wickets in this innings as Alex (1/44) and Simon (1/40) claimed a wicket apiece.

Chasing 193 for the win, SHADOW who were not in their full strength today, crumbled for 45 runs as Narjit picked three (3/17) while Jojo (1/12), Dhanendrajit (1/4), Chinglensana (1/6), Lalmohon (1/2) and Tiken (1/ 0) shared 5 wickets while conceding just 27 runs.

Narjit of CYCLONE was adjudged man of the match.

In a Group B match staged earlier in the day, UCC rode on Hemjit's brilliant knock of 96 runs off 73 balls to seal a 17-run victory against KSDO.

Asked to bat first, Hemjit 96 and Helendro 21 off 19 and Prasanjit 15 (retd) helped UCC raise 158 runs 4 wickets before Ashini (3/28) and dhana (2/15) shared five wickets to restrict KSDO to 141/9 in reply.

Abdul Khalique (1/31), Riyajuddin (1/24) and Noushad Ali (1/25) picked a wicket apiece for KSDO in the first innings before Riyajuddin's 37-hall half century went in vain.

Hemjit of UCC was adjudged man of the match.
