L Linda to face N Charmie for U-14 girls' title

Imphal, September 05 2018: L Linda will lock horns with N Charmie for the U-14 Girls singles title at the ongoing 38th State Open Cash Prize Tennis Championship-2018 organised by Manipur Tennis Association at Deco Turf Tennis Court of Officers' Club, Lamphelpat.

L Linda today outlasted Y Agu 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinal match of the U-14 girls singles competition to set up final clash tomorrow at 8 am with N Charmie who sealed an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over Y Thoibi in a semi-final clash yesterday.

Bhicky S will meet Ashwajit Senjam in the final showdown of the U-14 boys singles competition tomorrow at 2 pm.

U-12 Girls Singles
MNC Sanareima made herself through to the final of the U-12 girls singles competition after registering a 8-3 set win over L Nandini today and will be facing Y Thoibi who got better of Pooja Saikhom by 8-4 points in another semi-final clash today.

U-12 Boys singles
H Shankar cruised into U-12 boys singles final today with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Th Neeraj.

He will face Ashwajit S who overcame Th Rajivkumar 6-0, 6-1 yesterday, at the title clash tomorrow at 9.30 am.

Men's Doubles
T Brojen and Ribhasker will take on Leelenje and Premjit for the men's doubles title tomorrow at 2 pm.

T Brojen and Ribhaskar defeated T Pamei and Azad Khan easily by 6-1, 6-2 sets in the semi-final match staged today while Leelenje and Premjit clinched a 6-2, 6-4 win over the pair of Rahul and Becker to book the final berth.

Above 45 years Men's Doubles
Ranjan and Prakash clinched a 6-0, 7-6 (4) win over Leishemsana and Aldrin in a quarter final clash of the above 45 years men's doubles event and made it through to the semifinal while Romeo and Pradeep overcame Ranji and Tomba 6-7 (7-2), 6-1, (11-9) to move into the last 8 round of the competition.

Men's Singles
The semi-final line up of the men"s singles competition completed today.

T Brojendro routed Atap L 6-1, 6-0 today in a quarter final match to face N Premjit, who trounced Th Ribhaskar 6-3, 6-1 in another quarter final clash today, in the semi-final.

Rahul Pamei also entered into the semi-final with a 3-6, 6-3 (10-6) win over Y Leelenje in a quarter final match staged today and will face Bhicky Sagolshem in the semi-final.

Bhickey saw off T Pamei by 6-0, 6-2 sets today in another quarter final to book the semi-final berth.
