United Chandel FC dominate Sagolband United

Imphal, July 05 2025: United Chandel FC had a dominating 3-0 over Sagolband United in the first of three league matches of the 2nd Premier League 2025-26 at SAI Ground, Takyel, Imphal today.

In the later matches of the day, Uplift Development Organisation (UDO) beat Youth Social Welfare Association 3-1 and ASUFII FA beat Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club (KIMYC) 2-1 .

In United Chandel FC's win over Sagolband, Nicky Tongsin Anal contributed 2 goals and Soram Sumit Singh scored a single.

Nicky Tongsin Anal scored his double in the 35th and 45+2 minute, before Soram Sumit Singh scored one in the 55th minute.

Sagolband United tried their best but succumbed without scoring a goal.

The Uplift Development Organisation (UDO) match against Youth Social Welfare Association (YSWA) saw the latter leading with an early goal from Seram Sekho Singh in the 7th minute.

The YSWA lead, however, lived short as UDO found an equalizer in Chingtham Ronaldo Singh in the 11th minute.

Ignited by the equalizer, UDO mounted serious attacks and found a second goal when Thongam Priyaball Singh put the ball in the net in the 33rd minute.

YSWA fought to come back but suffered a fatal setback when they gave away a late penalty kick, which Salam Dhiren Meitei converted into a goal in the 76th minute.

YSWA didn't recover, and the team lost the match 1-3 to UDO .

In the third match of the day on the same ground, Samson's 80th-minute winner helped ASUFII FA beat Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club (KIMYC) 2-1 .

Mathanmi Ningshen scored an early goal three minutes into the game for ASUFII FA to lead 1-0 over KIMYC.

ASUFII FA maintained the lead for quite a long time, but KIMYC's Mynam Arif Husain broke their defensive line and scored an equalizer in the 74th minute.

While both sides continued to put pressure on the other, Samson found an opening and scored the winner for ASUFII FA in the 80th minute.
