3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy : YUCC defeat Al-Ameen by 54 runs, finish Group D runners up

YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai posted a 54-run victory over Al-Ameen, Lilong in their final Group D match in the 3rd MNCA U-19 Men's One Day Trophy.
The win at Lairenjam Public Ground helped YUCC dislodge PTCC, Patsoi Part III from second place in the group table on 7 points from 5 matches having shared a point each with league leaders RCA, Lilong earlier.
YUCC had a stuttering start to their innings after they opted to bat first but recovered and posted a modest total of 191 for all wickets down in 39.1 overs before restricting Al-Ameen to 137 all out in 34.2 overs to seal their third victory.
YUCC slumped to 50/6 as Umar and Khulakpam Hanif combined well to share three wickets apiece in the first 10 overs but skipper Ningthoujam Rahulkumar gave the team some respite and took the team past the 100-run mark by forging a 95-run partnership with Khumanthem Rajbir before he was bowled out for 52 off 67 by Thoubal Mayum Aarish at 145 in the last delivery of the 32nd over.
Rajbir 34 off 75 and Nongthoujam Jamesbond 23 off 22 also played their part to help YUCC give Al-Ameen a target of 192 runs.
For Al-Ameen, Khulakpam Hanif returned with the best bowling figures of 4/28 in 8 overs while Umar finished with 3/51 in 8 overs.
Th Aarish and Md Duwa Aziz also picked a wicket apiece in the innings.
Chasing 192 for the win, Al-Ameen had a promising start with Maibam Ashique leading the charge but his departure on 38 for the second wicket marked the turning point of the innings as they continued.

Laishram Bidyashor was the wrecker in chief for YUCC as he broke the backbone of the middle order to return with the best bowling figures of 3/24 in his spell of 8 overs while Ningthoujam Rahulkumar (2/14 in 8 overs) and Loitongbam Joychand (2/ 23) shared four wickets between them.
Oinam Shresth, Kh Rajbir and N Thoungamba also chipped in with a wicket apiece for the team.
N Rahulkumar who hit a half century and picked two crucial wickets was adjudged player of the match.
TRAU go Group C third with 69-run win over FORCE
Elsewhere at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, TRAU, Kwakeithel notched up a 69-run victory against FORCE, Kshetrigao to go third in the Group C league table.
TRAU were bundled out for 157 in 23.2 overs after opting to bat first but successfully defended their total by FORCE for 88 runs in 15.4 overs as Gurumayum Shivestian enjoyed a six wicket haul after having scored the highest 46 off 33 balls for the team.
Mutum Swabhiman 42 off 35 balls and Preethson Arubam 28 off 21 balls also made significant contributions before TRAU slumped to 157 all out as the face of incisive bowling performances from Naeem (4/35 in 6.2 overs), Syed Fayaz (3/27 in 6 overs) and Reewaj Khan (2/26 in 5 overs).
In reply, only Naeem 42 off 31 was the double digit scorer for FORCE as G Shivestian and Mutum Swabhiman (3/12 in 6 overs) ran riot to dismiss them for 88 runs.
Gurumayum Shivestian was eventually adjudged player of the match.
SCCC get walkover win
The day also saw SCCC, Singjamei getting a walkover win against KCC, Kongba Bazar in a Group E match at Khudeiband Lampak owing to shortage of KCC players.
With the result, SCCC finished fourth in the group standings while KCC finish at bottom (6th) .
