Imphal, May 03 2026: Manipur delivered a dominating performance to crush Sikkim by 9 wickets today in a Group B match of the 2nd North East Little Masters Trophy for U-14 Boys hosted by Tripura.

Manipur, who played a super over tie with Nagaland in the previous match, rode on incisive bowling performances from Rahul Thongam (3/8 in 4.5 overs) and Tomthinnganba Rajkumar (2/ 6 in 2 overs) to dismantle Sikkim for 85 runs in 30.5 overs before Md Mujamin and Md Albas Khan helped Manipur seal the victory within 5.1 overs.

Asked to bat first, Sikkim had a precarious start and slumped to 85 all out with Rahul Thongam and Tomthinnganba sharing a bulk of 5 wickets.

Pranit Darjee 25 off 35 balls was the only double digit run getter for Sikkim in this innings that also saw Heibokmayum Lucky Ahmed (1/20), Rajbir Khumanthem (1/20), Kh Firdos (1/19) and Punsiba Kh (1/7) of Manipur chipping in with a wicket apiece.

Chasing 86 for the win, Md Mujamin and Md Albas Khan 24 off 9 balls (4 fours and 1 six) gave Manipur a prolific start by forging 65 runs for the first wicket before Md Mujamin 37 not out off 16 balls and Sagatpam Telheiba 10 not out off 7 balls finished off the chase in style.
