Imphal, September 02 2009: As the Imphal West District 10th S Birendra Singh Memorial Super Division Football League Tournament, 2009 organised by the Imphal West District Footbal Association (IWDFA)concluded today at THAU ground, Imphal, YDO won the champion's title with 21 points and has been qualified for the Manipur State League next season.

THAU defeated YDO 3-2 while SU beat YAC 7-0 in today's matches.

Although they lose today's match against THAU, YDO won the champion's title as they bagged the highest points in the league.

YDO exceeded its nearest rival KSC by two poinst.

YDO scored 21 points while KSC bagged 19 points.

The first match today was played between THAU and YDO.

Both teas displayed a very tough match against each other.

THAU took the first lead with a goal of N Suresh in th 2nd minute of the match.

In their hot pursuit to equalise the score, Gogocha of YDO scored the equaliser in the 22nd minute of the match.

Meanwhile, Anilkumar of THAU scored his team's second goal innthe 26th minute of the match.

But the score was soon equalised in in the 35th minute by a goal of Ahmul Kom.

Later in the 53rd minute, THAu again lead the match wth a goal of Ronald in the 53rd minute.

No further goals were scored by both teams till the end of the match and the match concluded with THAU winning.

The second match of the league was played between SU and YAc.

SU dominated the match from the beginning without giving any chance to YAC to score back a single goal against them and won the match.

The seven goals of SU were scored by Naoba (1), Bipin (1), Hemchand (1), Paul (1), Division (2) and Thomas (1) .

Meanwhile, KSc beat DM RAO 3-1 and won the last match of the league.

Both teams displayed a very competitive match against each other.

L Jonathan, Helun Haokip and Lalzaro scored the three goals of KSC in the 2nd, 60th and 70th minute of the match.

While the solitary goal of DM RAO was scored by Thangsonlian in the 66th minute of the match.
