38th State Sub-Junior and 15th State Junior Basketball Championships from today

Imphal, August 02 2025: 38th State Sub-Junior and 15 th State Junior Basketball Championships are set to begin on August 3 under the aegis of the Manipur Basketball Association at Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court.

9-teams clubbed into two groups are taking part in the junior men's championship while three teams- DSWC-Nahabam, YOSC-Khurai and ESU-Wangkhei are competing in the junior women's championship.

ESU-Wangkhei, CYLC-Chingamathak, Model Club-Chingamakha, Youth Club-Uripok are TDBBA-Thoubal are clubbed in Group A for the junior men's competition while the Group B features LMYVA-Lalambung, YWC-Malom, YOSC-Khurai and BDBA-Moirang.

Five teams viz- ESU, YOSC, Youth Club, Model Club and LMYVA are meanwhile in the fray for the sub-junior boys' championship title while LMYVA, YOSC and ESU will vie for the subjunior girls' title.

ESU will play CYLC in the opening match of the junior men's championship tomorrow evening.

The match starts at 4 pm .
