U-15 Asian Boxing Cship: Silver medallist Rudraksh Singh receives warm welcome

Imphal, May 02 2025:
Kh Rudraksh Singh, silver medallist at the U-15 Asian Boxing Championship held in Jordan from April 17 to May 1, received a hero's welcome upop his return on Friday.
Supporters greeted the young boxer with garlands upon his arrival, celebrating his achievement on the international stage.
A formal felicitation ceremony was later organised in his honour by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) STC Imphal at the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

During a brief programme held at the SAI STC office, centre in-charge Maibam Raqmani Chanu presented Rudraksh with a garland, a traditional shawl and a bouquet as tokens of apprecia tion for his accomplishment.
Rudraksh began training at the SAI STC Imphal in May 2024 under the guidance of boxing coaches Wahengbam Hambi Devi, Oinam Geeta Chanu, and Gyanendra Sharma.
He is the son of Kh Govindaram and Usharani Devi of Sugnu Awang Leikai and is currently studying in Class IX at Khurai Lamlong Higher Secondary School.
Prior to his international success, Rudraksh claimed a gold medal at the State Level Boxing Championship held from June 15 to 20, 2024 .
