Manipur storm into semis of interstate cricket

Imphal, May 12 2025:
Manipur entered the semi-finals of the 3rd NECDC Senior Men's Interstate Friendship Tournament 2025 crushing Mizoram by 202 runs in the last Group A match on Monday.
In the match played at Sovima Cricket Ground, Dimapur, Nagaland, Manipur posted 290/7 in the 40 over game with Jotin Singh Pheiroijam (68 runs in 51 balls), captain Raj Kumar Rex Singh (59 of 24) and Pukhrambam Prafullomani Singh (57 of 51) being the main contributors.
Naveen Gurung and captain G Lalbiakvela with two wickets apiece were the notable bowlers for Mizoram.
Manipur bowlers led by Mutum Swabhiman (three wickets), Jotin Singh Pheiroijam, Yumnam Chingkhei Ngan-ba alias Tamo, Chingakham Bidash Meitei, Ngariyanbam Johnson Singh and Lamabam Ajay Singh (one wicket each) then bundled out the Mizoram batters for 88 to storm into the semi-finals.
Manipur will take on hosts Nagaland as Meghalaya face Arunachal Pradesh on May 13 for a berth in the summit round.
