TWC brush aside PHAM 5-0 in U-14 Hockey Tournament

Imphal, March 06 2025: TWC eased their way to a 5-0 triumph over PHAM in the boys' fixture of the U-14 Boys & Girls Hockey Tournament 2025 at SEYO Astro Hockey Stadium, Akampat, on Thursday.

A balanced attacking effort saw goals from Dinaraj, N Binanda, K Dinachandra, Arison AK, and Jersey No 12, who each found the back of the net with precision.

The team's cohesive play and relentless pressure left PHAM struggling to gain footing, sealing a decisive win for TWC .

In another boys' encounter, THHA and YC-CIC battled to a 3-3 stalemate in a back-and-forth thriller.

THHA's scorers - S Telson, A Parishka, and P Michael - kept their side in contention, but YCCIC's L Lanchenba stole the spotlight with a dynamic brace, complemented by a crucial goal from G Tom Sharma.

The match ended in a tense deadlock, with both teams earning a well-fought point.

The U-14 girls' clash between TWC and MLHA ended in a 1-1 draw after a fiercely contested midfield battle.

TWC's W Yaiphabi broke the deadlock in the 14th minute with a clinical strike, only for MLHA's S Henthoi to respond swiftly, levelling the score just five minutes later.

Despite spirited efforts from both sides in the second half, defences held firm, leaving the teams to split the points.
