YPHUC, PTCC cruise in MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy

PTCC secured a commanding 7-wicket win over YPHUC in their MNCA Women's U-19 One Day Trophy clash at THAU Ground on Friday.
Opting to field, PTCC restricted YPHUC to a modest 81/6 in 30 overs, with Khundrakpam Anjali Devi starring for the bowlers, claiming 4 wickets for just 14 runs.
YPHUC's Loktongbam Terina Devi top-scored with 32 off 48 balls, but the team struggled to build momentum.
In reply, PTCC chased down the target in just 14 overs, finishing at 82/3.Lourembam Arena Devi led the charge with a brisk 42 off 46 deliveries, supported by Angoubi Devi Khundrakpam's quickfire 19 off 19 balls.
Mutum Divika Chanu and Eriklembi Soubam took a wicket each for YPHUC, but it wasn't enough to prevent PTCC's dominant victory.
The day's other fixture saw AKSDO thump PTRC by 148 runs at SEDOC Ground, Kongba Dhobi Lampak.
Batting first, AKSDO posted 160/9 in 35 overs, thanks to Bijiya Khundrakpam's solid 46 off 58 balls and Taniya Ningthoujam's 27 off 36.Linthoingambi Chanu Laishram was the pick of PTRC's bowlers with 3 wickets.
PTRC's innings collapsed spectacularly, bowled out for a mere 12 runs in just 7.5 overs.
Rabina Khundrakpam was the destroyer-in-chief, taking an astonishing 5 wickets for 2 runs, while Bijiya Khundrakpam chipped in with 2 wickets.
Only Laitonjam Benita Devi reached double figures (5 runs) as PTRC succumbed to their lowest total of the tournament.
